An independent artist and creative studio rooted in visual storytelling. I’m an illustrator and designer specializing in handcrafted visuals for brands, stories, products, and special moments.

Hello, I’m Sierra, the heart, hands, voice and creative behind everything here on my website, in my shop, and on Instagram. I’m a full-time illustrator and designer based in Maryland, creating artwork that lives and breathes in everyday moments, spaces and stories. My work spans a mix of areas—stationery, wallpaper and fabric, wall art, printed pieces, books and print design, merchandise, and smaller touchpoints like illustrated icons and motifs that find their way onto menus or coasters. I’m obsessed with tactile design, boutique print, and helping bring products, homes, brands, and stories to life through bespoke illustration and intentional design.

I’m inspired by colors, textures, patterns, and the beauty of small, thoughtful details. My curiosity always leads the way, paired with my love for home, food, nature, travel, the arts, history, and everyday living. I’m especially drawn to human-made art crafted with real minds and real hands, curated or made from scratch, to make you feel something special.

When you visit my studio, I hope you feel a sense of clarity, inspiration, and possibility. I’m a lifelong artist with more than a decade of experience in graphic design, and I founded my illustration studio with a slower approach and the belief that we have the creative freedom to dream big every day. All of my work starts from a sketch. Every project begins with a hello. Every final piece begins as an idea—and that could be today.

I hope you’ll join me. And if you choose to stay, thank you so much for supporting my work and corner of the world. Below, you’ll find all the places where you can spot and shop my work and how to stay connected with me.

My work is commonly shaped by

  • Brands: Visual identities and illustrations that help brands feel distinct, expressive, and ground. I work closely to translate values and voice into visuals that are both intentional and memorable.
  • Stories: Illustration work that brings narratives to life, whether it’s editorial, publishing, or personal. Rooted in visual storytelling, these pieces are built to capture mood, character, and a sense of place.
  • Products: Artwork and design for physical goods and packaging, with a focus on detail, texture, and craft. I create visuals that elevate everyday objects and make theme feel considered and enduring.
  • Moments: Custom pieces created to mark meaningful occasions, celebrations, milestones, and personal stories. These works are intimate, thoughtful, and designed to be held onto.

Together, this work spans art licensing, freelance design and illustration, commissions, creative collaborations, and wholesale partnerships. Learn more here

“Sierra has been the perfect addition to our brand. Her charming yet sophisticated art caught my attention quite quickly and I knew she would be such a perfect fit for Once Upon a Puzzle. She delivered high quality work with such intention and grace. From formulating the idea, to sketches and to the final product, she made this a step by step process that was not only inclusive of my opinions but also very enjoyable. She met all deadlines and went above and beyond by providing me with various options that I may enjoy. She took feedback and altered anything I needed altered in such a timely fashion.
